Spread across an area of 715 square kilometers, the national park has recorded nearly 340 species of birds, providing an excellent opportunity for bird watching. Apart from birds, the park is inhabited by various animals like olive baboona, sykes monkeys, white and black colobus, rock hyrax, buffaloes, bushbucks, elephants, greater galago, black rhinos, leopards, hyenas, gain forest hogs, bush pigs, waterbucks, etc.
